Top 100 Movie Review

The film Singing in the rain is based on a Hollywood Monumental Pictures biggest stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont that are an "off spring couple" who were put together for publicity. The film industry is with the rise of "talkies", films with sound. Than comes around a young actor Kathy Selden who has a great voice and is needed to fill in as the voice of Lina because her voice is not appealing to the public and this causes some conflict. I personally didn't think much about this movie when I started watching it, but I slowly started to enjoy it because of the fast pace and fun environment that is happening when everyone is singing and dancing. The singing and dancing was mostly shot in one or two long shots which makes the dancing and singing look better than multiple small shots that would make the dancing less appealing. I enjoyed  just about every part of the movie and I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a very upbeat and fun movie that will make almost anyone smile and if you don't enjoy movies like that it wouldn't hurt to watch anyway because I wasn't so sure about it but ended up enjoying it.
