Movie Review #2

In the movie Casablanca, Rick Blaine, a cynical world-weary ex-patriate who runs a nightclub in Casablanca, Morocco during the early stages of WWII. Despite the pressure he constantly receives from the local authorities, Rick's cafe has become a kind of haven for refugees seeking to escape to America. But when Ilsa, a former lover of Rick's, and her husband, show up to his cafe one day, Rick faces a tough challenge which will bring up unforeseen complications, heartbreak and ultimately an excruciating decision to make.

In the film all of the shots are in black and white which really makes everything feel like its in the same time zone as WWII, and it gets the viewers engaged. Also a lot of the shots that they take are wide shots from the side to get two or more people and their conversation instead of going over the shoulder and the majority of the shots that they take in this movie are wide shots. I really liked the whole plot and story of the movie it was really fun to watch because of the flow and how they portrayed what it was like in WWII at that time and place. I also enjoyed just how it was different watching an older movie thats not loaded with really good lighting and a lot of green screen and all that other technology. I find it very refreshing to enjoy a movie like that. If you haven't seen a movie that isn't based or made before all of the tech came out and I am sure it will not disappoint and if it does it hopefully would be an experience. I think anyone could enjoy this movie if they put the time to watch it because it really is a well made film that is just a really good story and plot that will really keep you hooked.
